Discussion Questions

1. What if every church put itself in the place of being led by the Spirit, this was the premise of our existence? How can we discern the work of God’s Spirit here?
2. What if we took seriously Luke’s counter-cultural vision for humanity, notions about power, possessions, piety were turned on their heads?
3. What if every church sought to embody the vision of the Word on poverty, itinerancy, prayer, and servant leadership? We can’t go back to the first century, we have to think about how to translate that into our day and realities.
4. What would happen if we continued Jesus’ program of embracing humanity and bringing into our community, the politics of embrace instead of that of exclusion?
5. What if each one of us had the boldness to speak the truth to power, to bear witness in the name of the Lord Jesus?
